Concerned Oahu Citizens Demand that Monsanto Stop Poisoning Hawaii and Leave the State

Several organizations and over 100 concerned citizens held a protest on Thursday in front of the  Monsanto Corporation headquarters in Kunia on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. The protesters met in Kunia and marched over a half mile to the Monsanto compound for two hours of roadside sign-waving and chanting. The protesters demanded that Monsanto leave Hawaii saying they need real food not exported GMO seeds and chemical contamination. The group also demanded that Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) foods be labeled.

The protesters held a pule (prayer) near the shopping center, before starting their march asking for their ancestor’s blessings.

The protesters, wearing masks to protect from pesticide drift and GMO spores, received lots of support from many in passing cars who honked their horns and waved in support. A nearby resident came to find out what was going on and soon donned a mask himself as he was unaware of the dangers so close to his house. The resident expressed concern about the large trucks and equipment operating at night at Monsanto’s fields.

Monsanto operates about 8,000 acres in Hawaii, for GMO seed production. Hawaii is an ideal site for GMO seed production due to its isolation and good weather. The problem, according to critics, is that GMO operations take the most valuable agricultural lands and water away from food production, and also the large amounts of chemicals and pesticides that are required to grow these crops. Hawaii is a global center for the open-air field testing of experimental GMO crops, but no impact studies have been conducted.

Food security is a growing concern in Hawaii as the majority of the food is imported while the biotech industry grows GMO seeds for export. The need for locally grown, wholesome, natural, non-toxic food is high on everyone’s priority list.

Monsanto stopped operations for the afternoon of the protest and allowed most workers to leave early. Monsanto erected a barrier and manned a security station at the entrance to their compound. There were several Monsanto employees filming the protesters throughout the event.

A local television station interviewed the Vice President for Monsanto, Mr. Fred Perlak,  after the protest and he asked that the protesters keep an open mind “Look beyond your personal needs for what happens, this is important for everyone in the world,” Perlak said. But the protest  groups do not believe it, and have a strong message for Monsanto. “Get out of Hawaii, grow food, stop growing seeds and chemicals, grow food, we need food security over here,” said Walter Ritte with “Label it Hawaii”.

This protest follows similar protests recently held on the islands of Maui and Kauai against Monsanto. Activist organizations on the other islands vowed solidarity and stated that they are planning more protests until Monsanto leaves the islands.

Maui Activists Join To Protest Monsanto Corporation

Occupy Wall Street Maui, GMO-Free Maui and the March On Maui group joined together Thursday to gather in front of Monsanto’s facility and GMO corn fields in protest of Monsanto Corporation using their islands as their own personal experimental laboratory.

According to the group’s Face Book call to action; “Monsanto is one of the most insidious examples of the 1%, the ruling global elite. They have polluted our soil and groundwater with Roundup and other pesticides, polluted our air with open field testing of their GMO corn crops, and polluted our government and education system with massive campaign contributions and funding of our schools and universities.”

The group brought signs, drums, music and good vibes as they gathered together in solidarity with people all over the world who have been negatively affected by Monsanto and their products. They came together to send a resounding message to Monsanto that Monsanto is not welcome on their island.

The group stated, “We the people demand clean food, clean water, clean air, and a government untainted by corporate lobbyists and influence. We demand immediate labeling of all GMO products and a moratorium on open-air testing across all the islands!”

This protest is particularly important because according to Monsanto’s “Did You Know…” newsletter, Monsanto investment continues in their Maui farms. In April, a purchase and sale agreement was signed by Monsanto with A&B for existing Mokulele farms plus an additional 90 acres. The purchase of Mokulele is the second land purchase on Maui (the Piilani farm was purchased in 2010). Once the purchase of the Mokulele farm is complete, irrigation infrastructure, fencing and windbreaks will be installed over the next couple of years to bring it into production. In addition to the Mokulele purchase, a $3.5 million capital project will be executed on the Piilani farm to bring the top portion of the farm into production. The development will also include new irrigation infrastructure, upgrading existing fields by removing rock and improving the soil structure. A conservation plan is also to be installed to improve water flow and decrease erosion on the property.

This is not the first protest this year against Monsanto by activists on Maui and the groups vowed it will not be the last. Other activists on Oahu, Kauai and the Big Island expressed solidarity on Face Book and vowed to organize protest against Monsanto on their islands.

ImageProof Of A 60 Degree Earth Crust Shift And The Implications

The Hawaiian-Emperor Chain provides proof of an earth crust shift that coincides with the K/T impact event 65 million years ago that also caused the extinction of the dinosaurs. The Hawaiian Island chain makes a 60 degree bend where it becomes the Emperor sea mount chain.

In 1963 J. Tuzo Wilson, a Canadian geophysicist, proposed the “Hot Spot” hypothesis that has become widely accepted. According to Wilson, the linear shape of the Hawaiian-Emperor Chain reflects the progressive movement of the Pacific Plate over a deep immobile hot spot. Over millions of years, the combined processes of movement of the Pacific Plate over the stationary hot spot have left the trail we now call the Hawaiian-Emperor Chain.

I measured the distance from the “Hot Spot” (19.5 North – 156.5 West) to the center of the bend and got 1740 nautical miles. A nautical mile is 2,000 yards or 72,000 inches. So, 1740 nautical miles is 3,480,000 yards and 125,280,000 inches. So if the Pacific Plate movement averaged 1.92 inches per year the length of the Hawaiian Chain to the bend where the Emperor Chain starts it would equal  65 million years. This coincides with the K/T impact event and the extinction of the dinosaurs.

The K/T impact provides the explanation for the 60 degree bend in the chain. When I first thought about this I expected a break in the chain and a continuation at a different latitude. However, the chain bends in a continuous linear fashion without breaking. The only explanation would be if the K/T impact event was one forth the earth’s circumference away from the point where the chain bends. As it turns out, the Chicxulub crater that is widely acknowledged as the K/T impact crater is almost one quarter the earth’s circumference away. This allows for the “Hot Spot” to act as a pivot point for the crustal shift and the smooth linear bend in the chain.

Due to the shape of the earth a 60 degree bend of the Hawaiian-Emperor Chain would equal a 30 degree shift at the poles. Using the Hawaiian-Emperor bend as a pivot, and the longitude of the Chicxulub Crater as a guide, the North Pole prior to the impact would have been in what is now the Hudson Bay in Canada and Antarctica would have been 30 degrees to the North in a more temperate climate as the evidence suggest.

Watch this short video explanation I made here:

Let’s take a look at some of the implications of the 60 degree (30 degrees at the poles) crust shift which are very significant. The crust shift makes everything we have been told about history untrue.

This first implication is the ice age theory is wrong. A 60 degree crust shift near the equator equates to a 30 degree shift at the poles due to the shape of the earth. Charles Hapgood proposed an earth-crust displacement theory as a possibility and stated that there were not any ice ages but only the current ice caps had been in different locations due to crust shift. (Ref: Hapgood,Charles H. The Path of the Pole, Philadelphia: Chilton Books, 1970) The Hawaiian Island chain proves the earth-crust displacement theory and I have to agree with Hapgood in that there were no ice ages but by using the Hawaiian-Emperor bend as a pivot, and the longitude of the Chicxulub Crater as a guide, the prior North Pole would have been in what is now the Hudson Bay in Canada. This would have put the former ice cap much farther south and would explain the evidence put forth for the ice age. The crust shift evidence proves that there was not a change in climate causing an ice age but that the pole ice cap was actually in a different location.

The next implication has to do with Antarctica. Canadian author Rand Flem-Ath proposed that Antarctica is Plato’s Atlantis. I have not read the book but I have to agree that the crust shift proves that Antarctica would have been 30 degrees to the North in a more temperate climate and ice free as the evidence suggest. Plato said that Atlantis was a continent and Antarctica fits the description by Plato.

The next implication is that the flood legends recorded around the world are true. A 60 degree crust shift caused by the K/T event impact would force the oceans to flood the lands. The implication is that there were civilizations worldwide 65 million years ago that recorded the flood in their legends. I propose that the crust shift and the flood legends show that the two are not separate or coincidence. If you think it is not possible and that people were not alive 65 million years ago read the book Forbidden Archeology: The Hidden History of the Human Race by Michael A. Cremo and Richard L. Thompson. (  In it they provide overwhelming evidence that humans have been on this planet for many millions of years.

Another implication that is timely is the Mayan civilization was near ground zero for the K/T impact at Chicxulub Crater and would have been destroyed. If the Mayan civilization was destroyed 65 million years ago who made up the supposed date of December 21, 2012 as the end of the Mayan calendar and why how did they arrive at that date?

Lots to think about and I will write more implications soon.
